And, I think you're right on about being scared that what we find inside won't "fit in with what the world expects." I would love to say I know who I am 100% but I don't. I feel it is an everyday ongoing process. But, I think at least if you try to know youself the best you can you will miss out less then if you don't know yourself at all. I loved this article! You have hit upon something that I believe is the key to living the life we desire. We have to know ourselves, and sometimes that is the hardest of all. It's much easier to look for answers "outside" when we already have them within us - we just have to see them with our hearts and minds. Why is it so hard to look inside? Are we afraid of what we might see? Do we fear the spirit that lives inside of us, that it doesn't fit with what the world expects? I'm not sure, but I think this is part of it.
