100 Posts

When a blog is first created it is a blank slate, waiting to be filled with the blogger’s ideas, thoughts, opinions, questions and experience of life. Possibility is your friend, but Time can seem like an intimidating boss, commanding you to write so many words at a time and post so many times a week. There are many peaks and valleys over the weeks and months of the life of a blog, and the blogger’s energy and enthusiasm tends to follow them.

So, here I am with 100 articles posted to Look Far (it happened last Thursday). Looking back it seems to have gone by quickly, but during the process it mostly felt like a steady march.

I started this blog on June 10, 2008. So, not quite a year and a half ago. During this time, thinking and writing and sharing have become an integral part of my week. To the point that I’m not quite sure what I used to do when I didn’t have the blog. πŸ™‚

When I was planning Look Far, I had the general idea that I wanted to write about the topic of Self Awareness. I had some ideas that I wanted to write about, but I also wasn’t totally sure where I was going with it. One of the most rewarding things about these first 100 posts, is the direction that my thoughts have gone in around the core idea of Self Awareness. It has been an exploration, and I have been happy to visit a lot of it’s nooks and crannies.

To end this brief reflection I just wanted to say – Thank You. Thanks for reading, thanks for commenting, thanks for your emails. Thanks for connecting with me on Twitter and other social media and sharing my articles with others. In other words, thanks for coming with me on this journey. I’ve been happy to have you here. πŸ™‚

And now, here are some posts from the first 100 that you may want to revisit, now that they are buried in the archives. πŸ™‚
