What Have You Always Wanted To Try?

Can you think of something that you’ve always wanted to try, but haven’t?  What’s holding you back?

The desire to do something is all you need to begin a new endeavor.  You may even surprise yourself at how quickly you catch on to this new activity.

When you think about the thing that you want to try, your mind may start saying these things:

  • I am too busy.
  • I am too tired.
  • I might fail.
  • I am scared of looking foolish.
  • I don’t know what I am doing.

It’s fine to feel one or all of these things, but don’t let them run your life.  When your mind starts talking to you like that, leave your mind behind and go visit your Center.

In your Center, feel the strength of your desire, and trust that feeling.  Everything has it’s beginning in desire.  Allow yourself to say “I Want.”  And then go do it.

What have you always wanted to try?

Hi Dani – Good luck with your photography. Have fun!

Hi Patty – I think one small personal adventure each week is a good goal to shoot for. And necessary to keep us fresh 🙂

Hi Persha – Hope “someday” comes quickly. 😉

  1. Someday I’ll be able to have an international consulting company, move back to San Francisco, and learn more about art, photography—maybe even take a few dance lessons. I’ll be able to write that book, I’ll be able to take that trip to India and stay in an Ashram to finally learn how to meditate … and mostly, I’ll be able to learn about so many things, contribute and make a big difference in the world. Someday… , but not today. ;-0)
